Healthy Life Hack...LAWRY'S SEASONED SALT (ORGANIC COPYCAT)!

I love Lawry's Seasoned Salt, it always seems to add just the right touch whenever it seems like a recipe isn't 'quite right'. You know what I mean. I love the flavor and versatility, but I was not in love with some of the ingredients. So I found a copycat recipe online, altered it and made my own! 💪

Ingredients:
     Base Mixture - MEASURE all BASE MIXTURE ingredients into a small bowl. Combine until           well blended.
       -1/3 CUP Quality Salt of your choice
       -3 1/2 TSP Quality Superfine Sugar of your choice
       -1 1/2 TSP Quality Cornstarch of your choice

     Herbs and Spices - ADD all HERBS AND SPICES ingredients to BASE MIXTURE in bowl.
     STIR and PRESS with a fork for at least 2 minutes to release and infuse the essences between the       spices.
       -1 1/2 TBSP Celery Salt
       -1 TBSP Paprika
       -1 1/2 TSP Onion Powder
       -1 TSP Garlic Powder
       -1 TSP Ground Turmeric
       -1/8 TSP Cayenne Pepper

STORE spice mixture in a tightly sealed glass container (Mountain Rose Herbs has a great variety) to preserve freshness. The spice mixture actually improves after 30 days and becomes even more "authentic" due to the infusion between all of the herbs and spices.

ENJOY adding your newly created spice mixture to soups, stews, chili, meats and veggies for cooking/grilling, etc...

Mountain Rose Herbs is a certified organic processor through Oregon Tilth Certified Organic (OTCO) (https://tilth.org/), which is fully accredited with the USDA National Organic Program. The only downside is their shipping rates and times, which is a common frustration for their online users. My solution is to always have a running list of Saved Items in my online cart. I add stuff that I want in the future, stuff that I will need soon or just general spices and seasonings that we use ALL the time. Then I wait for their occasional discount code offering and BAM 👊! I stock up a few times a year and it is glorious. 👍
